Ride of Pride

Here are some neat pics of the "Ride of Pride" from Freightliner and Schneider.  Be warned they are large pics.

And on of the Space Shuttle made from Legos by some boy scouts.

We finally got here!

Hello,

Well we got to PA today.  Today I woke up in PA and drove about 300 miles.  After dropping our load I only had 45 min left to drive.  So now we are sitting at a truck stop till my partner has finished his 10 hour break.  After that we will had to the Carlisle OC and take a break for the rest of the day so we can get some hours back.  Our truck windshield also needs to get replaced while we are there.  Hopefully they can get that done today so that we can get on the road tomorrow and don't have to stay an extra day.

Hi Dear, and Kids.

On our way to PA

Good Afternoon,

Well today I woke up in CA.  From there I drove to AZ, and ended up at the begining of NM.  The drive today has been interesting.  We drove thru deserts, forests, mountains, and flat lands.  It was very pretty.  Each area had its own unique beauty.  We also ran through some sleet/hail today.  Our lunch was pretty good.  If you want to stop at Matayas Travel Center and Restaurant (I-40 xit 16 in NM) it was one of the better meals we have had.  Thanks for stopping by, and come back soon.

I think my back is just about all the way back to normal (almost).

Sunny CA

Hello,

Well after I posted yesterday we stopped by the Salt Sea in UT.  That was pretty neat to see.  We were actually at one of the evaporation basins.

Today I woke up in Sparks, NV.  My teammate dropped our load off last night and picked up the empty I needed to drop this morning in NV.  I made that drop and did a live load in NV for delivery in CA.  Tonight we will drop that load and pick up another in CA going to PA.  My back is continuing to get better.  It is still sore but much better than it was, I can even stretch without doubling over in pain.  I hope that all is going well with you all, especially my wife and kids.

The Adventure to NV Continues

This trip is turning into an adventure.  When we made a stop last night a muscle in my back started to cramp.  It was so bad that I ended up going to bed early last night.  Today my back still hurts.  I woke up this morning in NE.  Headed out and missed a turn and ended up in CO for a minute then turned back to NE.  I have spent the rest of the day in WY.  While driving thru WY a rock got throwen into our window and cracked it.  Since then the crack in the glass has been growing about 1 inch an hour.  Once we get to an OC we will need to get that replaced.  I have included several pictures of the ride, and snow from today.

Heading for NV

Well my teammate and I have been back on the road since Tuesday.  Our first load had us picking up an empty in Macon, GA.  From there we headed to AL for our pick up.  We then headed off to PA and dropped our load at the Operations Center (OC) in Carlisle.  That load is no someone elses.  After dropping that load off we then went to NJ and picked up a load and our on our way to NV.  Today I drove thru OH, IN, IL, and ended up at Walcott, IA for dinner and to change drivers.  Iowa 80 in Walcot, IA is a neat Truck Stop.  It claims to be the worlds largest, and I would not doubt it.  It has over 800 Truck parking spots.

Well tonight I am going to play alittle on WoW then off to bed, 2AM comes early.  You all have a great night .

Home for the weekend.

Well,  to start my blog off I am on my TAH (time at home) till Tuesday.  Thus I am spending time with my family and playing Star Wars Galaxies.

Welcome
